SACHA staff and volunteers are wearing purple today to let folks know that no one asks to be sexually assaulted. Staff and volunteers told us they are wearing purple because:
“I believe survivors are not to blame.” “All bodies deserve safety!”
“I’ve had ENOUGH of rape culture and victim blaming.”
“I don’t believe the lies.”
“I’m mad as hell.”
“I know I am not alone.”
Be a part of the conversations! Post photos of yourself wearing purple with the hashtag #NoOneAsksForIt! Find out more by visiting the Sexual Assault Support Centre’s website and the No One Asks for It Facebook event. May is Sexual Violence Prevention Month.
