Have you ever used substances such as alcohol or drugs to help you cope?
SACHA and the City of Hamilton’s Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Services is running an open group for survivors who’ve struggled with substance use starting on Tuesday, February 24th.
Open group means that you don’t have to register to be a part of the group. You choose to come to dates when you are available or the topic speaks to you. We ask that you arrive on time as group begins at 1:30pm and we don’t allow late arrivals.
The group will meet Tuesdays from 1pm-3pm at SACHA – 75 MacNab Street South in Hamilton.
February 24 – Safety, grounding, and self-nurturing
March 3 – Substance use
March 10 – Sexual violence and its impact
March 17 – Dealing with feelings
March 24 – Asking for help
March 31 – Anger
April 7 – Relationships
April 14 – Sex and sexuality
